F&I is a common term in the automotive industry
and this term is short for Finance and Insurance. Most dealerships
throughout the country have F&I offices to handle the finance application
and paperwork involved with the sale of a vehicle. In addition, the F&I
office provides consumers an opportunity to purchase ancillary products,
e.g. vehicle service contracts, comprehensive insurance, Credit Life insurance,
maintenance programs, and other beneficial products and service sold in
conjunction with the sale of a vehicle.
The primary function of the F & I is to
maximise the overall profitability of the vehicle sale through the sale of
value added products and services.
A professional F & I must make sure that the
entire dealership understands where F&I function fits in the bigger picture
for total profitability, and develop a set of optimum circumstances in which
F& I productivity can flourish.
Intelligo Solutions offers a three day Introduction
to F&I (Motor Retail Finance and Insurance) course for anyone who
is interested in joining the motor trade to sell finance and insurance.
The F&I is required to be Fit & Proper
in terms of the FAIS Act, compliant in FICA trained, NCA trained
(Institute of Bankers exam) - we offer all three requirements. This
means the F&I Manager is professional advisor in terms of motor vehicle
finance and insurance.
The course dates for Introduction to F&I in
Winter 2017 are 6,7,8 June 2017
The blended distance
facilitated video link requires that the business or student has quality Internet
connection speeds, including headphones to provide an environment where the
student is able to concentrate on the facilitation process without disturbance. The student will communicate via the video
link back to the facilitator in the classroom environment creating an
interactive environment for the distance learning student.
